Games are a thing now for the new Apple TV.

The next generation of Apple TV is finally here and its gesture-managed remote control bring mobile-style gameplay to the device. Game on!

1. Crossy Road

The big-screen version of the game adds couch-based multiplayer. Crossy Road is like an endless, runner-themed take on Frogger, and it's been a wildly popular hit on mobile devices.

2. Beat Sports

Beat Sports is a collection of sports-themed rhythm games. Think Wii Sports, except it's touch-based and there's a musical element.

3. Disney Infinity 3.0

It's the first in Disney's series to rope in characters and stories from the Star Wars universe. And more Star Wars is always a good thing.

4. Guitar Hero Live

Guitar Hero Live skips video game animations in favor of live-action, first-person video that dynamically branches into excited or angry crowd scenes, depending on how well you play.

5. Shadowmatic

The gameplay is simple: poke and prod at abstract sculptures sitting in front of a spotlight in order to turn the shadows they cast into recognizable shapes.

6. Galaxy on Fire

For fans of PC space combat classics like Wing Commander and T.I.E. Fighter, this one's a no-brainer.

7. Rayman Adventures

If you're a fan of Rayman's console adventures, know that Adventures falls close to the mobile releases, Jungle Run and Fiesta Run.
